LIMITED EDITION Montegrappa Sophia ballpoint pen (268th of 331 copies). 18K Yellow Gold Plated, 18K Rose Gold Plated. Montegrappa Sophia is a limited edition collection named after the ancient Greek goddess of wisdom. According to the creators, the writing instrument combined two great world civilizations - Greek and Egyptian. The exquisite pen is made of silver and precious resin, decorated with details of 18-karat yellow and pink gold.

The body is decorated with a sample of Coptic writing, as well as a fragment of the famous fresco by Raphael "The School of Athens", which depicts the philosophers Aristotle, Plato and mathematician Pythagoras. The cap is engraved with an image of the famous Rosetta Stone, found in 1799 in Egypt. The text of the stone is a grateful inscription, which in 196 BC. Egyptian priests addressed to the monarch Ptolemy V Epiphanes. The composition is complemented by ancient hieroglyphs, inscriptions in the style of demotic Egyptian writing, an image of the sphinx, Egyptian pyramids, and a figure of the god Thoth, the patron of writing, knowledge, and science.

The impressive composition on the Sophia pen is made using an exclusive technique of manual low-relief engraving, which Montegrappa masters have mastered to perfection. A total of 1,200 fountain pens and 331 rollerball pens were produced.

The pen has not been used for a long time. The cartridge needs to be replaced, the pen does not write. The original box in which the pen was stored is missing. The original tablet has worn out over time, this can be seen in the photo.
